Our pre-admission process helps patients complete necessary registration and clinical information in advance. Experienced nurses provide education about the procedure, preparation requirements and what patients can expect before and after surgery.
For families, CRMC provides communication throughout the surgical process so loved ones can stay informed while the patient is in our care.
Special attention is also given to helping children and their families prepare when a pediatric patient requires a procedure.

Our surgeons, anesthesia professionals, nurses and surgical team members follow established practices designed to reduce surgical risks and protect patients before, during and after their procedures.
These practices include careful patient and procedure verification, infection-prevention measures, appropriate use of antibiotics when indicated, blood clot prevention, temperature management, medication safety and continuous monitoring throughout surgery and recovery.
Recovery Begins Here
Our responsibility doesn’t end when the procedure is complete.
Following surgery, patients are closely monitored by experienced clinical professionals as they begin recovery. Depending on the procedure, patients may return home the same day or continue their recovery in CRMC’s Acute Care Unit.
When rehabilitation is part of recovery – particularly following orthopedic procedures and joint replacement – CRMC’s rehabilitation professionals can work alongside the surgical and orthopedic teams to help patients safely regain strength, mobility and independence.
Joint replacement patients also benefit from CRMC’s Joint Camp Program, which helps patients prepare for hip, knee or shoulder replacement before surgery and understand what to expect throughout recovery.
