Helping You Move Better. Feel Better. Live Better.

Pain, injury and limited mobility can affect nearly every part of your life. At Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, our Orthopedic Services team provides comprehensive care designed to help patients reduce pain, restore function and get back to the activities that matter to them.

From the first evaluation through treatment, surgery and rehabilitation, CRMC brings together orthopedic providers, experienced surgical teams, rehabilitation professionals and other clinical specialists to provide coordinated orthopedic care close to home.

Whether you’re dealing with a sports or work-related injury, arthritis, chronic joint pain, a fracture or a condition requiring joint replacement, our goal is to help you find the right path forward.

Comprehensive Orthopedic Care

Not every orthopedic condition requires surgery. Our team evaluates each patient’s condition and works to determine the treatment approach best suited to their individual needs.

When surgery is appropriate, CRMC offers a broad range of orthopedic procedures and services, including:

  • Total hip, knee and shoulder replacement
  • Hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasty
  • Revision hip and knee arthroplasty
  • Arthroscopic surgery
  • Hand surgery
  • Foot and ankle surgery
  • Carpal tunnel evaluation and treatment
  • Ganglion cyst and benign tumor surgery
  • Fracture and orthopedic trauma surgery
  • Pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery
  • Evaluation and treatment of joint pain and orthopedic conditions

Our orthopedic team works closely with CRMC’s surgical, nursing, medical imaging and rehabilitation teams to coordinate care throughout treatment and recovery.

Joint Replacement

When arthritis, injury or deterioration of a joint begins interfering with everyday activities, nonsurgical treatments such as medication, injections, activity modification or physical therapy may provide relief.

When those treatments are no longer effective, joint replacement may be an option.

CRMC provides hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery, as well as revision procedures for certain patients who have previously undergone joint replacement.

But successful joint replacement involves much more than the surgery itself.

That’s why CRMC developed our Joint Camp Program.

Joint Camp: Preparing You for a Successful Recovery

Patients preparing for joint replacement shouldn’t have to wonder what happens next.

CRMC’s Joint Camp Program helps patients and their families prepare for joint replacement surgery before they ever arrive for their procedure. Our goal is to give you the information, preparation and support you need to become an active participant in your care and recovery.

Your Joint Camp care team may include your orthopedic surgeon and orthopedic providers, nurses, case management professionals, physical therapists and other members of your healthcare team.

Before surgery, patients receive education and guidance about topics such as:

  • Understanding your joint replacement procedure
  • Preparing for surgery
  • Pre-operative medical evaluations
  • Preparing your home for recovery
  • Planning for support after surgery
  • Exercises to help prepare for hip, knee or shoulder replacement
  • What to expect on surgery day
  • Pain management
  • Rehabilitation and mobility
  • Follow-up appointments
  • Nutrition during recovery
  • Returning home safely
  • Living with your new joint

Being informed and prepared can make the entire experience less intimidating. Joint Camp gives patients an opportunity to understand what to expect, ask questions and begin preparing for recovery well before surgery day.

Rehabilitation Is Part of the Treatment

Orthopedic care doesn’t end when surgery is over.

Rehabilitation is an important part of CRMC’s orthopedic program, whether you’re recovering from a joint replacement, orthopedic surgery or an injury.

Our rehabilitation professionals work with patients to help restore strength, movement, balance and function. For joint replacement patients, rehabilitation begins as part of the overall treatment plan and continues through the recovery process.

The orthopedic and rehabilitation teams work together toward one goal: helping you safely regain independence and return to the activities you enjoy.

Coordinated Care – From Diagnosis Through Recovery

One of the advantages of receiving orthopedic care at CRMC is having multiple services working together as part of your care.

Depending on your needs, your orthopedic care may involve:

  1. Orthopedic evaluation
  2. Diagnostic imaging
  3. Treatment or surgery
  4. Joint Camp
  5. Hospital care
  6. Rehabilitation
  7. Follow-up care

That coordination helps provide continuity throughout your orthopedic journey while allowing you to receive care close to home.

Getting You Back to What Matters

For us, orthopedic care isn’t simply about treating a joint, repairing an injury or performing a procedure. It’s about helping someone walk comfortably again. Return to work. Get back in the garden. Play with grandchildren. Enjoy a round of golf. Climb stairs. Or simply move through everyday life with greater confidence and less pain.

Your goals become our goals.

At CRMC, we’re here to help you keep moving.
