Coffeyville Regional Medical Center operates its own dedicated Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team, with a paramedic on every response. This commitment ensures that patients have access to an advanced level of pre-hospital emergency care when minutes matter most.
A Paramedic on Every Run
Paramedics have advanced training that allows them to assess critically ill or injured patients, provide lifesaving interventions, administer medications, monitor cardiac conditions and begin treatment while transporting a patient to the hospital.
By staffing every EMS response with a paramedic, CRMC provides an important level of emergency care from the moment our team arrives at the patient’s side.
For patients experiencing a heart attack, stroke, serious injury, respiratory emergency or other life-threatening condition, the care provided during those first critical minutes can be especially important.
One Emergency Care Team
Because CRMC operates both our EMS service and Emergency Department, pre-hospital and hospital emergency care work together as one coordinated system.
While transporting a patient, our EMS team can communicate important information to the Emergency Department, helping the hospital team prepare for the patient’s arrival. That coordination supports a timely transition from care in the ambulance to evaluation and treatment in the ER.
Once at CRMC, patients have access to an Emergency Department staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by board-certified or board-eligible emergency medicine physicians, along with experienced emergency nurses and the diagnostic and clinical resources of the hospital.
