Breathing problems can affect people of any age and may range from short-term illness to chronic lung or heart conditions. At Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, our Respiratory Therapy team provides specialized care for patients throughout the hospital and through outpatient services.
Our respiratory therapists work closely with physicians, nurses and other members of the care team to evaluate breathing concerns, provide treatment and monitor patients who need respiratory or cardiopulmonary support. Their expertise is especially important during emergencies, hospital stays and situations requiring advanced airway or breathing assistance.
Respiratory Therapy also plays an important role in helping patients manage ongoing conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Our team provides education to help patients and families better understand medications, inhaler techniques, breathing exercises, oxygen use and other aspects of respiratory care.
