Barbara McCartney MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Barbara began her nursing career in 2002 and has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 2020.
Education & Training
Barbara earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Labette Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She practices family medicine, caring for patients across a wide range of ages and healthcare needs.

Barbara also has specialized training in Tobacco Treatment through KU. She enjoys helping patients make a positive, lasting change to improve their health and quality of life.
Approach to Care
Her approach to patient care is centered on compassion, respect, and creating a comfortable environment where patients feel heard. Barbara believes patients should never feel judged when seeking healthcare and wants every person who walks through the door to feel that they are receiving compassionate, non-judgmental care.
Why CRMC
A lifelong member of the Coffeyville community, Barbara was born and raised in Coffeyville. She has served the community at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for more than 20 years. After completing her Nurse Practitioner program, remaining at CRMC was the natural choice for her because of her deep connection to the community and the people she serves.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, son-in-law, and their assortment of pets. She loves reading a variety of genres and considers herself an avid true-crime fan. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family and the community she has always called home.
